Agatha Wags Windischman-Cramer

                     2001 - 2008

Aggie came to AHRCO in the fall of 2004 after being found running on a W. Virginia highway. Tired, sick and hungry, she allowed herself to be captured by two veterinary technicians with big hearts.    Shocked at her condition, the two took their new charge to work with them.   Christened "Agatha" by the hospital staff, she was immediately treated for sarcoptic mange, various parasites, (fleas, worms etc) and given food and a warm bed.  Further examination indicated Agatha to be about 3 years old and that she had been been used for breeding.  After a few days hospitalization, Aggie was transferred to AHRCO'S Camp Cook where she was nursed back to health before finding her forever home with AHRCO's friends  Cris, Diane, and family in Michigan.

Aggie was such a special girl, she was a 'trooper' is the best sense of the word.  She enjoyed life to the maximum with her 2 affie "sisters" and her 2 feline brothers.   In the short period of 4 years, she fought and survived heartworm treatment; she fought and survived chylothorax, but sadly she could not fight cancer.  Within a few short hours Aggie went from the happy, "silly Aggie Waggie", to showing signs of not feeling well, to going blind.  Rushed to the family vet, then onto MSU, our beautiful, wise, sweet Aggie Wags was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.   Unprepared and with tears in their eyes, pain in their hearts, Aggie's  Moms wished their beautiful girl Au Revior .

Below is a photo memorial of Aggie's life.  There are 23 photos in the slide show - click on each thumbnail for a larger image to appear below.  Keep scrolling right to view them all.

Run free Aggie.  We miss you.
